In the Philippines, “sotanghon” is the household name for glass vermicelli noodles. Internationally, the same family of products is sold as Longkou vermicelli, bean thread or cellophane noodles. For an importer, the distinction matters for positioning, pricing and pack size.
What makes our Filipino Sotanghon different
Our Filipino Sotanghon is produced to the Filipino method using high quality material, developed specifically for the Philippine high-class market. It cooks cleanly into sotanghon guisado, pancit-style stir-fries and soups without clumping.
Packing formats
Filipino Sotanghon is available in 1,000 g x 20, 500 g x 40 and 250 g x 80 cartons, with a 40′ high-cube container loading of 600 cartons (12 MT). Longkou Vermicelli covers the wider retail ladder from 100 g to 1,000 g.
Which should you import?
Most Philippine distributors carry both: sotanghon for the branded retail segment and standard Longkou vermicelli for the value tier and food service. Because both lines ship in the same container, you can build a mixed order without paying for two consignments.
